Non-Profits Get More Money to Help Families in Need

Several local nonprofits received extra funding from Clark County to help families in need this time of year.

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program provides funding through the United Way of Southern Nevada. The money is going to non-profits to provide money for rent, utilities, groceries and diapers; several of the charities also serve hot meals. There may be restrictions on availability and income. People needing help should contact the nonprofit agencies directly.
