Metro releases photo of suspect in homicide near Maryland Parkway and Twain

Metro Police released Wednesday the identity of the man who may have been involved in a homicide near Maryland Parkway and E. Twain Avenue.

Police are searching for 25-year-old Zachary Drey. Metro's preliminary investigation revealed Drey lived at an apartment complex in the 3800 block of South Maryland Parkway, which is where the homicide occurred.

Around 2:45 a.m. officers were called to the area to investigate a suspicious situation after a woman called 9-1-1 saying a family member had injured his roommate.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a partially opened door. Officers announced who they were, but no one answered, so police went inside to check things out.

Once inside the home, officers found a man dead inside the apartment. Metro said he had several stab wounds.

Drey was nowhere in sight. Drey is described as a white man who stands approximately 6-feet tall and weighs between 150-160 pounds. He has red hair and green eyes.

Metro says Drey should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with any information on his whereabouts should not approach, but they should immediately call the police.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released at a later date by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
