The open house is from noon to 3 p.m., at Fire Station 18, 575 E. Flamingo between Paradise Road and Swenson Street. Fire Station 18 is the largest and busiest fire station in the county. At the open house, firefighters will give out fire and drowning prevention tips along other safety information for families.

Besides county firefighters, there will representatives from Nevada Child Seekers, UNLV Healthy Homes, Trauma Intervention Program of Southern Nevada and other health and safety agencies. The fire department will also have out its safety house where children can learn how to get out of a house that is on fire safely.

“We appreciate all the public safety partners who have contributed to making these open houses a success,” said Clark County Fire Chief Bertral Washington. “We enjoy being able to welcome residents to visit our fire stations and learn about safety from our front-line firefighters and fire inspectors.”
