Virgin America Announces New Flight Between Los Angeles and Las Vegas

Virgin America announced Wednesday new nonstop service between McCarran International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, starting in April.

The three daily roundtrip flights will add to the flights the airline already runs between San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Tickets are on sale now through virginamerica.com. Fares start at $39, excluding taxes and fees. Other restrictions may apply.  The airline is also offering deals on other routes to celebrate the launch of the new flight.

“We are thrilled to welcome additional service from LAX on Virgin America,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority. “Every new destination that is added to the schedule provides additional convenience and flexibility for travelers. With record visitation to Las Vegas in 2012, every new airline seat provides opportunity for continued growth. “

The airline already has direct flights between JFK International Airport in New York and Las Vegas.
