Pre-Registration Open for Government Auction

Pre-registration is now open for the first government surplus auction of the year.

The pre-registration and preview period will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday at the auction site, 4320 Stephanie Street. Prospective bidders need to show a valid ID at the registration office.

The auction will feature items from several local and state government agencies along with McCarran International Airport, UNLV, the Clark County School District, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and from agencies in Utah. There will be office equipment like computers and file cabinets for sale. There will also be 100 vehicles up for auction. During the preview period, people will get a chance to view some of the vehicles and items up for sale. The vehicle auction will take place both live and online. For a complete list of items for sale and to register for the online portion of the sale, go to tntauction.com.

"These auctions are very popular with people looking for good deals on everything from office equipment to used cars and trucks that have been well maintained," said David Johnson, manager of the County's Automotive Division. "You definitely want to register as a bidder early so you don't have to wait in line on Saturday. We attract big crowds on auction days."

Other auctions are set for May 19 and November 17.
