Coroner IDs man shot to death in business parking lot

LAS VEGAS - The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man shot and killed in the parking lot of a business complex near Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue as 30-year-old Michael Anthony Johnson of Las Vegas. 

The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest and was ruled a homicide.


According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Department, Johnson was with his girlfriend in the parking lot when he got into an argument with people in another vehicle just before 3 a.m. Monday.

Witnesses tell police, Johnson got out of his truck and pulled out a gun. In response, a person in the other vehicle pulled out a gun and fired one shot at Johnson, police said.

The person responsible for the shooting was interviewed by detectives. The case is being submitted to the Clark County District Attorney's office for consideration of charges.
