Driving You Crazy: Rough stretch of Hacienda Avenue
News

LAS VEGAS - A viewer says Hacienda Avenue between Mountain Vista Street and Nellis Boulevard needs repaving.

Clark County representatives say plans are in place to repave Hacienda from Mountain Vista to Stephanie Street. Crews will reconstruct the road and medians and restripe bike lanes in front of nearby Harley Harmon Elementary School.

Clark County Public Works is waiting for the Reclamation District to build a new 13-mile sewer line called the Paradise-Whitney Interceptor.

That sewer line will take a few years to complete, but crews have divided it into three parts: the central, western and eastern segments. County administrators say crews will work on the eastern portion first, which includes Hacienda, later this month.

After the pipe work is finished, crews can repave the roadway. In other words, this project will take some time.
