After years of work, a local couple are launching their own brewery at this weekend's Great Vegas Beer Festival.

Dave Forrest has been brewing up an idea for years.

As a connoisseur of beer, he has used his house as a tasting space to craft different ales using a variety of ingredients such as rosemary and orange peel.

Culinary Dropout in the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road, has a rock 'n' roll vibe to fit its location. The two bars, the casual, exposed pipe decor, servers in street clothes, and even the menus on brown paper, seem perfect matches.
