Couple Reach for Draft Dreams with CraftHaus Brewery

 

After years of work, a local couple are launching their own brewery at this weekend's Great Vegas Beer Festival.

Dave Forrest has been brewing up an idea for years.

As a connoisseur of beer, he has used his house as a tasting space to craft different ales using a variety of ingredients such as rosemary and orange peel.

Ultimate Taco Challenge Offered at Hard Rock This Weekend

 

A local restaurant is celebrating National Margarita Day and National Tortilla Chip Day with an addition to its menu: a huge taco.

Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is offering the Ultimate Taco challenge this weekend for serious lovers of Mexican food.

The challenge includes a three-and-a-half pound taco, one pound of which is the meat, a 25-inch crispy taco shell is filled with refried beans, rice, shredded chicken, steak, carnitas, lettuce, cheese and more. It is selling for $24, but if someone finishes it within 30 minutes, the dish is free.

The taco is served with complimentary Sauza Blue margaritas. The dish and the challenge will be available from Friday through Sunday.
